How to determine the quality of diamond saw blades
Generally speaking, diamond saw blades operate in relatively harsh environments. Their main use is for cutting stone, and they are widely applied in the cutting of marble, granite, ceramic wall and floor tiles, and concrete products. They are important and widely used processing tools in the stone and building materials industry.
Circular saw blades have advantages such as ease of operation, high efficiency, and good processing quality. However, they produce significant noise and have poor blade rigidity. During the cutting process, the saw blade is prone to vibration and deviation, leading to poor parallelism of the workpiece being cut. The spindle of the saw machine struggles to withstand large cutting forces, causing oscillation during cutting, which prevents straight cuts. Although increasing the thickness of the saw blade can improve its rigidity, it still does not guarantee the parallelism of the slices. Additionally, increasing thickness not only raises the cost of the saw blade but also increases the width of the kerf, reducing material yield. The linear speed of outer circular cutting is relatively high, reaching up to 50 m/s, while the cutting depth is limited by the diameter of the saw blade, generally not exceeding one-third of the diameter. Currently, the cutting depth typically does not exceed 1 meter. The quality of diamond saw blades is crucially linked to the grain size of the diamond, which is one of the important indicators for assessing the wear resistance and sharpness of diamond saw blades.
